Sam Robins

Sam Robins is a former Senior Intelligence Manager and Crime Analyst with more than 30 years' experience in policing, specialising in homicide investigations and major crime analysis. Inspired by a lifelong fascination with criminal investigation, she built a pioneering career in analysis, intelligence and serious crime investigations.

After studying Psychology at university, Sam attended a course run by the FBI's Behavioural Science Unit and renowned offender profilers Robert Ressler and Roy Hazlewood. She then joined a specialist UK national unit focused on linking serious and serial offences.

Throughout her policing career, Sam led specialist intelligence teams supporting the UK's most complex murder and serial rape investigations, analysing vast amounts of evidence to identify critical lines of enquiry and help secure convictions. Her work included the murder investigation of Milly Dowler, which led to the conviction of Levi Bellfield, and the internationally significant Al-Hilli family murders in Annecy, France.



Sam co-hosted the TRUE CRIME channel's Britain's Almost Perfect Murders and has appeared as an expert on a range of true crime documentaries. Drawing on decades of investigative experience, she offers audiences insight into major crime investigations, offender behaviour, and the vital role intelligence and analysis play in delivering justice
