
Michaela Kempson
Michaela is a criminologist with a strong academic and frontline background in exploitation, missing children, youth offending, and custodial environments. She holds a master’s degree in criminology and a BSc in Psychology Criminal Behaviour, giving her a broad understanding of crime, vulnerability, risk, behaviour, and safeguarding.
Her professional experience spans work with young people involved in petty crime, children at risk of exploitation, and individuals within both male and female prison settings. She has supported youth offenders, vulnerable adolescents, and adults convicted of serious offences, including murder. This has given her valuable insight into the pathways that can lead from early offending and vulnerability to more complex criminal behaviour.
Michaela’s work is grounded in understanding the social, psychological, and environmental factors that shape offending and victimisation. She brings a compassionate, informed, and practical approach to supporting young people, families, professionals, and services working with risk, exploitation, and criminal behaviour. Her insight, experience, and approach combine to make a meaningful difference in complicated and challenging contexts.
