The disappearance of 18-year-old Nicola Payne, who was last seen in December 1991, is one of Britain’s biggest unsolved murder cases and has baffled detectives for nearly three decades. Coventry teenager Nicola Payne left her seven-month-old son at her boyfriend's home when she took a 10-minute walk to her parents’ house. She never arrived.

The police believe she was murdered. But her body has never been found.

Nicola’s family have asked CrimeCon UK for the help in the continued search for Nicola. A one hundred-thousand-pound reward is in place for information leading to the discovery of Nicola. Payment of the reward is not dependent on an arrest or conviction and information can be volunteered anonymously.

Liz Urry and Amanda Eales are Nicola Payne’s cousins and are both championing the #findnicolapayne campaign on behalf of the Payne family; both will be appearing at CrimeCon UK to share their story in the hope to move this case forward to bring final closure to the whole family.

Over the last 18 months Mark Williams-Thomas, Reece Watkinson, Peter Faulding and the former lead police detective, have worked very closely with the Payne family and West Midlands police to find Nicola and they continue to do so. Mark's research and access means that at CrimeCon UK we will be able to reveal new information and evidence that has never been in the public domain. We will also have detailed interviews with Nicola’s family, friends, and witnesses, as well as following up on lines of inquiry and new leads.

This is very much a real time live investigation, and Mark and Nicolas family want to use CrimeCon as a platform to help #findnicolapayne. Everyone involved is determined to get the family justice and as such we feel that the investigation and subsequent broadcasts will be of huge benefit, with the aim of course being to finally find Nicola and bring the offenders to justice.
