Clare Laxton

Clare Laxton has spent nearly two decades working to create change in society through campaigning, communications and content. She is the creator and host of Killer in the Family podcast which explores cases of men who have killed their whole families and takes a victim-centred approach to storytelling, which often includes discussions of domestic abuse and coercive control. She is also a PhD researcher in Criminal Justice at the University of Leeds with her research focusing on the multi-agency response to domestic abuse and coercive control through the lens of intimate partner homicide.

Clare has also co-founded Hawkins Laxton & Co which is a boutique influencing and strategic communications agency working with mission driven organisations. Clare brings professional insight, academic rigour and ethical storytelling to every aspect of her work.
