Lead Scientist for Sexual Offences

Carol Rogers is currently the Lead Scientist for Sexual Offences at Scottish Police Authority Forensic Services. With 24 years experience working as a Forensic Biologist in Glasgow. During this time Carol has worked on numerous major incidents including murders and serious sexual offences, notably the Peter Tobin case. She has attended 100s of crime scenes and given testimony as an expert witness on countless occasions. Areas of expertise include blood pattern analysis, body fluid analysis, damage interpretation and DNA interpretation including the use of STRmix software and Y-STR analysis.
