In 1983, on route to his passenger’s destination, Aberdeen Taxi Driver, George Murdoch turned into a side street, where his passenger wrapped a cheese wire around his neck, then strangled him to death.

Forty years later, the police continue to investigate this unsolved murder.

Across five episodes, we hear from the senior police officer investigating this case, as well as forensic scientists, psychologists, journalists, and family members and neighbours of George, as this docudrama takes you into the heart of the investigation.

And in 2023, the police announced the most significant step forward in this case in the past 40 years.
