Louella Collins

Project Manager

Prior to working in the Met, Louella worked at HMP Swaleside where she worked within the Offender Management Unit, delivering sessions with lifers on Cognitive Self Change, looking at the values and believes of the individuals that potentially supported their life of crime.

In her next chapter, Louella retrained as a teacher and thrived working with vulnerable young people and enjoyed making a difference to their lives by helping them to grow and explore learning – working closely with students with emotional, behaviours and educational needs.

Fast forward 10 + years Louella, joined the Met in August 2021 at the very beginning of Community Centred Learning. She was very involved in launching the Community Encounters training day for existing officers across the Borough Command Units, creating a safe and secure on-boarding process for all stakeholders leading to the engagement of a further 110 additional community stakeholders, increasing the diversity pool and ensuring a cross section of London communities.

Louella is passionate about driving change and wants to work towards a police force that is trusted that the public can be confident in and where community is at the forefront of everything we do.
