Jacqui Hames is one of the UK’s best known real-life detectives. Alongside a career in the Metropolitan Police investigating major crime, she spent 16 years at the BBC on Crimewatch appealing for help to solve some of the countries most notorious and serious crimes. After retirement she co-wrote a book on personal safety with Fiona Bruce, worked in the private business sector as a Consultant, and went on to present programmes like ‘Break in Britain’ and Crimewatch Roadshow for the BBC, regularly appearing on Sky News, BBC and Channel 4 news, This Morning, Good Morning Britain plus other news and factual programmes. Recently co-chaired a behavioural analysis conference, and charitable work with various personal safety and Stalking charities, and is an ambassador for NBCS Foundation which tackles the cycle of addiction to break offending patterns.
