Dave Shipley

Instructor

Dave Shipley worked for Kent Police for nearly 31 years. He spent 16 years as a detective sergeant on the paedophile unit dealing with online safeguarding particularly specialising in abusive imagery and has helped protect many children through this role.

During the David Fuller investigation DS Shipley was the officer tasked with watching and documenting the mortuary images and videos found in Fuller’s home. He retired as a police sergeant in August 2021, but immediately returned to finish the mortuary review as a civilian investigator, before finally leaving in February 2022.



He now works as an instructor at the Anglia Ruskin University training new recruits into the police force.
