Ann Ming MBE

Ann Ming was a dedicated theatre nurse, a loving mother of three, and a grandmother when her life changed irrevocably. Her daughter, Julie Hogg, vanished, and was later found murdered. Despite police finding the perpetrator, a hung jury led to an acquittal and a 800 year old Double Jeopardy law stopped him from facing justice. Ann started on a 17 year campaign which culminated in a change the law, and justice for Julie. Furthermore, after the conviction in 2006 Ann was awarded an MBE for service to the Criminal Justice System.
